Logging Support Enabled
LDaemon now supports logging. LDaemon will create a file called ..\Logs\LDaemon.log if you enable logging. To enable logging use -d xxx on the command line where xxx is the sum of one or more of the following:
- -1 enable all debugging
- 0 no debugging
- 1 trace function calls
- 2 debug packet handling
- 4 heavy trace debugging
- 8 connection management
- 16 print out packets sent and received
- 32 search filter processing
- 64 configuration file processing
- 128 access control list processing
- 256 stats log connections/operations/results
- 512 stats log entries sent
- 1024 print communication with shell backends
- 2048 print entry parsing debugging
You may enable multiple levels by specifying the debug option once for each desired level. For example, "-d 65" or "-d 1 -d 64" enables the same two logging options (trace function calls and configuration file processing). The log file will not roll over or reset automatically. With some of these log settings the file can get very big very fast so watch out. If you are using MDaemon you can specify the debugging level within the MDaemon GUI by adding -d XXX to the LDaemon command line found in Setup | LDaemon/Address book options.
One the LDaemon log file reaches the max size for log files specified within MDaemon it will rename the file to .OLD and start a new log file.
A new schema has been added which allows LDaemon to be compatible with Alt-N ComAgent (part of the MDaemon/WorldClient suite of communications tools. This new schema allows LDaemon to serve as a backend address book provider for ComAgent - a global contact sharing application.
